This is a new 625 bed 3-storey hospital built under the PFI method of procurement to replace the old Law Hospital in Carluke, all to upgrade the existing healthcare facilities in Lanarkshire, Scotland.
The facility comprises the usual complex Mechanical and Electrical Services associated with hospital buildings including ultra clean air conditioned operating theatres, specialist gases, medical gases and a Central Energy Centre which includes a combined heat and power facility.
Hulley & Kirkwood were the Mechanical and Electrical Designers for this project which was led by Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd as the Design and Construct Contractors.
