Completed in 2002, this award winning building displays a striking and innovative 3 storey glass façade. A state of the art lighting control system coupled with daylight linked blinds provides a multi level “Study Landscape” for medical students of all disciplines, with an access control system allowing 24/7 access to library facilities, and a glass roofed atrium which has proved popular with musicians and audiences alike in the provision of musical ensembles.
HulleySFM being responsible for quality control duties along with Commissioning Management. With the University providing “in-house” maintenance on the majority of systems close liaison was essential from design through installation to commissioning ensuring a high degree of maintainability was built in to the construction.
Technical advice along with the provision of tender packages were provided by HulleySFM to the client for specialist systems to ensure cost effective maintenance solutions were in place, such as remote dial in facilities for the lighting control system, providing assistance and alterations to suit the client’s needs in the most cost effective manner.
