The development is situated on the former site of Craighead House on the outskirts of Blantyre, near Glasgow. The Craighead development will be a paradigm in excellence – both in provision of prestigious residential accommodation and establishment of unparalleled soccer facilities within a state-of-the-art sports campus. The residential accommodation comprises 56 plots of one-third acre containing dwellings varying from 400m² to 600m².
These houses shall be complemented with a flatted development of 132 units - ranging from 100m² to 200m² with provision for 200% car parking at a subterranean level. The proposals are crowned by a prestigious sports complex contained within a walled garden.
The sports campus occupies 16.6 acres of the site and offers world class facilities - unparalleled in the UK, comprising a full size ‘new generation’ indoor synthetic football training pitch and two full size outdoor natural grass training pitches, one of which is flood lit. These pitches shall be complemented by a dedicated goalkeepers training area and an outdoor cardio-vascular training area.
