Project Title: Beatson Cancer Research Facility
Client: University of Glasgow
Project Value: £10m
Hulley contact: Simmy Telfer
The new Beatson Cancer Research Facility building is located at Glasgow University’s Garscube Estate, adjacent and linked to the existing Beatson Institute, four miles west of the main University Campus. The Centre provides world-class research facilities, accelerating the process of understanding the disease, identifying new therapies and bringing them to patients.
The building is conceived as a glazed pavilion with the design aim being the expression of the centre’s dynamic progressive attitude. The natural light and communal space will provide the best environment for an open forum of research.
