This project is a joint development between the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital Trust and the Cardiothoracic Centre Liverpool NHS Trust and is being carried out under Procure 21 at the Broadgreen Hospital Site in Liverpool.
Hulley and Kirkwood have been responsible for the design and coordination of the M&E installation to serve the requirements of both trusts.
The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital Trust element of the development consists of a diagnostic and treatment centre incorporating:
- Urology Department and Ward
- General Surgery Ward
- Orthopaedic Department and Wards
- Day Ward
- Pre-op assessment, Therapies Department
- 9 Operating Theatres, 8 of which are ultra clean
The Cardiothoracic Centre Liverpool NHS Trust element of the development consists of:
- Adult Acute Ward
- SICU and HDU
- CCU
- Outpatient Department
- NR Agina Service
- Administration
- Research Laboratories
- Health Records & Patient Services
- Medical Engineering Department
In addition there is also shared Imaging, Pathology and Pharmacy departments which form part of the scheme.
