Borders Schools PPP – Shortlisted for a 2010 CIBSE Low Carbon Performance Award – EPC
Borders Schools, hailed as ‘the most environmentally advanced schools in Scotland’, consists of three new build high schools. All three schools have obtained an excellent ‘A’ status Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) - the first in Scotland to receive ‘A’ rated EPCs.
Scottish Borders Council had a specific brief with regards to sustainability, with one major aspect being the use of a biomass boiler plant at all three schools.
