Hulleys were Due Diligence Technical Advisers on behalf of the Funders for this Major Development/Refurbishment Programme in Edinburgh delivered by Miller/Amey Consortium. The Edinburgh Schools Partnership has ensured that the designs created are educationally driven by involving, from the very earliest stages of the project, an experienced educational team with specialist knowledge of primary, secondary and special education. As a direct result of this partnership over 10,000 pupils, representing nearly 17% of our school population, will benefit from new or refurbished accommodation.Under the contract, education buildings will receive a capital injection worth £91 million at today's prices and ESP will provide:
- ten new primaries, including nursery classes
- two new secondary schools
- three refurbished secondary schools
- two new special schools
- one refurbished special school
- one new secure unit
- a new community education centre, and
- facilities management for the project schools
