Project Title: Fife Schools

Client: Ballast Special Projects Division

Project Value: £40m

Hulley contact: Jim Costello

Beath High School in Cowdenbeath and Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline were two of three New Schools rebuilt as part of a £40M Capital Investment by Fife Council in a 25-year deal with Pinnicle Schools. The third of these three Schools was a new Primary School for the Anstruther Area.

Plans for Beath were upgraded from their original proposal to refurbish the existing building to the building of a new 1,200 pupil School with Sports Facilities.

At Queen Anne, the Main School Building was designed to resemble a race-track. This is an approach that works particularly well in large Schools where it is essential that pupils can move around freely between classes and at break. The School is equipped with a Large Sports Hall and a number of Playing Fields.
