Tim has 14 years experience in the Building Services Industry. During this time he has worked upon commissioning, surveying and reporting upon by both mechanical and electrical installations, preparing feasibility studies, and cost estimates for scheme proposals, the formation of electrical services scheme designs, preparation of drawings and specifications for tender, construction and information purposes.
Tim has gained experience within the education sector working on a variety of different projects, working direct for end user clients such as Councils, Funding Bodies and Local Authorities providing services from M&E advise to fully blown detailed design duties. Tim has also managed, supported and provided bid advice for Contractors as part of design and building type contracts.
Recent education projects Tim has been involved in include the new Sixth University Campus for Weston College, the new Breeam Excellent BSF pathfinder school Penryn College in Falmouth, Soundwell Centre development for City of Bristol College, Westhaven Special School in W-S-M, Penwith College in St Ives and St Mark CoE secondary school in Bath.
Tim is able to provide sustainability and Breeam advise to clients to enable ‘green’ issues to be incorporated successfully into M&E designs from conception, working alongside Breeam assessors and Low Carbon consultants to ensure targets are hit and exceeded, recently this has approach has been successful for two Breeam Excellent projects at Penryn College and St Austell Town Centre.
Tim has also worked directly with Universities own maintenance departments, surveying and reporting upon the condition of existing buildings for forward maintenance and PFI preparation purposes.
