Hope Hospital Salford Reaches Financial Close

Consort and Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust achieved Financial Close for the Hope Hospital Salford PFI project on the 5th of September. This is one of two projects within the Northern Batched Hospital PFI procurement process for Manchester.

H&K commenced its involvement with Consort and Balfour Beatty Haden Young Joint Venture in the bidding process for the Northern Batched Hospitals in July 2003. Originally bidding related to Salford site only and then once Consort were appointed as Framework Partner to the Trust in July 2005 then design work commenced for Tameside Hospital PFI Project.

The programme for the completion of the Salford project is May 2012. The project comprises, 10,000 SQM Education Building and 25,000SQM Acute Hospital.

The second part of the batch, Tameside Hospital, comprising 15000 SQM Diagnostic and Treatment centre, 4000 SQM Elderly Mentally Infirm Unit and new Energy Centre is anticipated to reach Financial close on 18th September.
