Hulley & Kirkwood provided the Design on various ASDA retail projects within some forty stores throughout the UK. This included major new build and large scale refurbishment projects involving the creation of new in-house food processing areas for fish/fish products, butchery and bakery as well as associated cold and chiller stores for other perishables such as fruit, vegetables and cut flowers.

Hulley & Kirkwood were responsible for the construction of the new Asda Store in Govan. The project consisted of sales floor, in-house food preparation areas, bakery, refrigerated cold store areas and high and low bay warehousing.

We also provided the M&E Design Service for two new Distribution Warehouses in Grangemouth for Asda Stores Ltd.

The new Refrigerated Warehouse (25,000m²) contains frozen ( 25°C) area, and ambient storage as well as office and administration areas. The new chilled distribution warehouse (20,000m²) contains high chill and low chill areas as well as a staff restaurant and kitchen along with ambient storage, office and administration areas.
