Centre West is a 25,000m² retail and leisure development at East Kilbride near Glasgow. The scheme is anchored by Debenhams and also contains a large food court as well as retail and leisure outlets and additional 1,320 car parking for the existing Centre. As well as all of the usual Mechanical, Electrical and Life Safety Landlords Systems and Tenant’s Infrastructure, Hulley & Kirkwood carried out detailed dynamic thermal simulations of the Mall Area to establish that the need for cooling could be precluded and the use of daylight maximised thus providing a more sustainable low energy services solution to the Mall. The Centre also includes the latest in IT Infrastructure with Broadband and GMS Technology for Traders capability. This extension to the existing Shopping Centre in East Kilbride creates the largest covered Shopping Centre in Scotland.
