This Project was developed to provide a logistics warehouse facility with office space. Dock levellers were provided with extensive vehicle hard-standing and secure parking.
H&K were asked to design sprinklers, warehouse heating and electrical services for both the base build and client fit out. Full Category 4 high piled storage risk, roof and in-rack, sprinklers and smoke ventilation were a building control requirement to comply with the Leicestershire Act.
The sprinkler system was designed to comply with the new BS EN 12845 which allows the end user full flexibility to customise the racking layouts and at the same time avoid expensive infrastructure costs that such changes would have incurred with the old BS 5306:1990.
