HulleySIM undertook a study to summarise the findings of a computer simulation on the predicted daylight factors in a sample selection of first floor flats within the River Heights Phase 2 development at Lancefield Quay, Glasgow. Daylight Analysis was conducted on numerous flat types and rooms to build up a full appreciation of the anticipated conditions within the proposed development. It was decided to select first floor flats as these would provide a suitable representation of predicted worst case conditions, as flats above these levels would be expected to receive more daylight. This allowed us to demonstrate how the daylight factors within the proposed flat types varied with orientation and window opening sizes.
